What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Iceland is an amazing country, unlike anything we have experienced before. For sure the most memorable part of the trip was the security in knowing that our travel planner and guide always had our back...that made the sights we saw and experiences we had even better than what they could have been otherwise.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

If we were to take this trip again the only thing we would do differently is to spend more time there :)

Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

We just completed our 7 day trip to Iceland (July 2021) planned and executed with our travel planner. We had a wonderful time and everything went off as planned, except the weather. It rained everyday, but we still were able to do almost everything we had planned.

Our guide(s) were fantastic, very knowledgeable about the sites we visited, the history and lore about this beautiful place.

Our transportation was comfortable and roomy enough for the four of us and our driver/guide. The hotels were very comfortable and provided excellent service.

With the exception of Reykjavik, we ate in the hotels as we were in otherwise remote areas. Regardless, the food and service were excellent.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Our tours included hiking, off-roading in a 4x4 including forging rivers and streams, multiple visits of waterfalls, black sand beaches, glaciers and volcanos, a glacier hike, a glacier lagoon zodiac boat tour, a foodie tour of Reykjavik and of course some time in the Blue Lagoon. There is a lot of drive time to get to many of these activities or vistas.

Our guide was able to provide a full time commentary on the history, myths and legends that are part of what makes Iceland so magical. This was particularly important as we had rain almost everyday as it helped provide additional depth to the variety of sites and activities.

We focused our trip on the areas along the ring road southern coast up to the glacier lagoon on the east cost. We also toured the Golden Circle to see the geological faults and tectonic plate boundary areas. Blue Lagoon, Valley of Thor, Vatnajokull National Park, Skaftafell National Park, and Golden Circle.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Pray for better weather. Otherwise it was a wonderful trip. PS - Wear good hiking shoes/boots and waterproof rain wear (just in case).
