We spent an outstanding week in Iceland with the owner of our Iceland Tour Company. It was a private trip for 5 family members. He planned the trip and was our guide and driver.
We had to reschedule the trip twice due to the Covid pandemic, but our travel planner handled all the rescheduling for us (including the Covid tests required to return to the USA).
Our travel planner is a very knowledgeable and experienced tour guide; he is also a genuinely nice guy.
He created a wonderful itinerary for us.
We went in May. The weather was in the 40s during the day and 30s at night. It was very pleasant as we dressed appropriately in layers.
Iceland had recently reopened to vaccinated tourists. The number of tourists was very low, which made the trip even more enjoyable.
What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?
Erupting volcano - this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Diamond Beach and Black Sand Beach
Hiking on Glacier and Zodiac boat ride on Glacial Lagoon
Whale Watching - we saw Humpback and Minke Whales and Dolphins
Geothermal springs
Waterfalls
