We planned our trip very shortly before we embarked. Our travel specialist made the planning and the traveling easy. I did not worry about details at all because he took care of them for us. As we were first time visitors, he gave great suggestions for our itinerary.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

As a geologist, I loved seeing the natural beauty of Iceland including glaciers, waterfalls, lagoons, lava fields and an active volcano.

I also appreciated that this travel company and our personal guide are native Icelanders. They knew the best places to see including areas off the "tourist circuit". We were also able to adjust the itinerary according to the weather.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I loved everything that we did. If only I had more time and more money, I would add the northern coast to my travel plans.

The trip was amazing!

We've always had good experiences with Zicasso and this Travel Company did not disappoint. They were communicative and adjusted the travel plans based on our concerns and suggestions. We had to make some last minute adjustments due to flight issues and they quickly accommodated us.

We loved our trip, it was the right amount of activities and down time. We especially appreciated the extra information the travel company provided us regarding COVID restrictions going in and out of the country and how to be properly prepared.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We loved the Blue Lagoon, especially the timing of it at the end of the trip. It was a great way to relax after we've been hiking, driving, and sightseeing for days.

We had a wonderful time at the Guesthouse in South Iceland. The location was spectacular and peaceful, and served as a great place for all of us to reconnect. The food was amazing as was the photo tour.

And one of our most enjoyable moments included a tour we booked on our own during our free time. We found a puffin tour that had us walking a lot and heading out to a cliff. It was beautiful.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We would not stay at the hotel in Hnappavellir. We did not like the food, especially for the price, and the rooms were too hot each night. The layout of the hotel was also weird, how you walk through people having dinner to get to the hottub, but you're in your robe.

Besides that, we would stay longer.

Stunning nature at its best... Hard to pick favorite: glacier canyons, waterfalls, lava fields, fjords, glaciers
